Prepping For Your Newborn Session!

Tips for the Ultimate Experience! A newborn captures the heart like no other stage. From those tiniest fingers and toes to the way they smile in their sleep, you just want to cherish that oh so tiny and curly newborn stage. In just a few fleeting weeks your baby will change so much, you’ll almost forget just how small they were! I love capturing this newborn stage for you to treasure. Newborn sessions are my longest sessions, but my goal is to create a most relaxed few hours for you and baby as I capture some memories for your family. The studio holds a collection of carefully curated props from around the world- as only the best will do! All you need to bring is you and baby (plus a pacifier and some formula if used) everything else is taken care of.

Book Early: Newborn sessions are best between five days and up to three weeks old. It’s an absolutely tiny window of time and sessions are limited. If I’m booked I will gladly help you find other photographers in the area to try.

Before the Session:

We will go through colors and poses that you especially want to capture during your baby’s session. I love using fresh florals and we’ll go through what you love best. My collection is full of neutrals and soft colors and we will only incorporate your absolute favorites. Feel free to bring any sentimental items you’d like to incorporate.

Day of the Session: Your start time is based on your baby’s schedule. I’ve learned a while ago that it’s baby that’s in charge! We tentatively schedule for right after your baby eats – you’ll keep me posted when that will work out. I start anytime after 10am and will work with you to create the most pressure free experience. Baby eats at home and then it’s off to the studio for a session! Sit Back & Relax! I usually start with parent and sibling poses if requested. From there, it’s on to an array of different setups. Feel free to choose props you see in the studio that you’d like to incorporate into the session. I’m capturing these moments for your family and want only the best.
